Republicans deride government
as inefficient and unpleasant, but they’re
sure a public health insurance option
will use low prices and good service
to put private insurers out of business.

Democrats are skittish about limiting
financial awards in malpractice suits
because their lawyer friends think
it would be unfair to their clients
who have real pain and suffering.

Obviously politicians will try to
fix the medical system with the care
of a skilled surgeon — to slice away
the high cost without damaging any
sources of campaign contributions.
