It took a little more than six years,
but president Bush finally showed
a streak of kindness ― he refused
to let a man with the nickname
“Scooter” spend one day in prison.

    interesting–I hadn’t contemplated how much risk a guy named Scooter would be taking on in a regular prison–preppies just don’t do time, because of the potential for extreme abuse, I guess–perhaps naming a kid Strobe, Topher, or Tighe has an immunizing effect–thanks for making me think–

    now, I have to run for my copy of The Preppie Handbook to see what other names I couldn’t recall
