Al Drops the Ball

Alberto Gonzales swore to uphold the constitution,
but no one asked if he had ever read it.
He ignores the first and fourth amendments,
due process, and the fact that treaties are law,
but the separation of powers, may be his undoing.

Congress went five years without asserting authority,
but the FBI raid on a House office went too far.
Legislators may not care how Justice treats terrorists
or reporters, but elected representatives
make the law, and seem to think they’re above it.
