Wallowing in Ethics Reform

Senators cracked down on lobbying
at enormous personal sacrifice.
No more free meals or sports events –
unless, of course, they’re fund raisers,
or the lobbyist’s client comes along to pay.

They also have to own up to earmarks
right away, not just when they’re spent.
If they can reconcile these rules with
the House, a long shot at best, you can bet
they’ll all want lots of praise, and a raise.
