Here We Go Again

What Bush lacks in insight
he makes up for in arrogance.
He just nominated Chertoff’s
chief of staff’s daughter in law
to head the U.S. Immigration and
Customs Enforcement agency.

She has no experience in law
enforcement, other than a stint
in Ken Starr’s office (huh?), but
her uncle is Air force General
Richard Myers, chairman
of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Senator Voinovich spotted the
weakness in the 36-year-old’s
resume, but under pressure he
has conceded that 20,000
employees and a $4 billion
budget is a good starter job.

Good luck Julie Myers, the
job may be over your head,
but that just means you have
no where to go but up, and
you certainly can’t do any
worse than your predecessors.

How did I miss this? All that’s on the news is Rita and Katrina - how can they not mention the nepotism (can you call it that with a daughter), the lack of experience, in one of our most important agencies?
